About this experience

2 Hour Experience: Glaze your own ceramic tile trivet.
730 S. Stone Avenue, Tucson, Arizona

This Studio C instructor-led workshop is great for beginners and all levels of art experience.

You will walk step by step through hand glazing a 6" ceramic tile in the cuerda seca "dry cord" style, where wax outlines create a barrier between glaze colors. You will be able to choose your own color palette. All materials are provided.

Glaze the design of the day with our instructor, or choose another pre-outlined tile design to glaze.

The instructor will kiln fire your tile after the workshop. It will be given a cork backing, and it will be available for pickup or shipping in one week after the workshop.

If you want to create more than one tile or choose another design, additional 6" tiles pre-printed with a variety of designs will be available for add-on purchase to glaze at the studio.

This beginner workshop will not cover wax drawing or screen printing. See other workshops for advanced techniques. Please note Carly Quinn is not the instructor for our workshops

*Expect that your tile art may have natural blemishes, pull backs, and pinholes that occur during the kiln firing process; While we will provide guidance in this workshop, it is a beginner level class to experiment with this glazing style, and we cannot guarantee the final quality of your DIY art. No refunds are provided due to imperfections in your fired art.*
