Start the new year with hands on creativity at Carly Quinn Designs. January is filled with tile art workshops in Tucson, welcoming everyone from first time painters to experienced artists. Each workshop is taught in our Studio C space at 730 S. Stone Ave and features guided instruction in the cuerda seca glaze technique, a traditional method that uses wax lines as barriers for the colors.
Whether you are looking to try something new, sharpen your skills, or create a meaningful handmade piece, there is a January workshop for you.

Glaze a 6 inch Art Tile: Red Talavera Floral
This beginner friendly workshop introduces the basics of glazing using a bold floral Talavera inspired design. All materials are included and your finished tile will be kiln fired and ready for pickup or shipping.

What to Expect
All workshops include step by step instruction, materials, glazing, and kiln firing. Finished tiles are food safe and can be displayed as wall art or used as trivets depending on the design. Workshops are relaxed, welcoming, and focused on creative exploration rather than perfection.
